Who We Are
Les Advocate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for mental and behavioral health, specializing in protecting rights within the education system and workplace.
We believe it is crucial for parents to understand their rights regarding various plans available for students, such as IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
This knowledge empowers parents to advocate effectively for the necessary support their children need to thrive in school. Similarly, it's important for parents to be aware of their rights under FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) in the workplace, ensuring they receive the support they need while balancing their responsibilities at home. Understanding these rights is key to navigating both educational and employment systems with confidence and securing the best outcomes for their families.
“I’m here to be the advocate I needed when I was a child, standing up for little ones who deserve a voice.” - Les Marie
